One Steps

Quantum uses a controlled sparring drill called “One Step Sparring” or “One Steps” and has been adapted from Taekwondo. During One Steps, one participant acts as the attacker, taking only one step forward to throw a single attack, while the defender responds with a block or counter-attack. This allows for focused practice on specific defensive techniques and reactions.  The difficulty of each One Step matches the belt level and gets progressively harder as the student goes through the ranks.
